The Chester County Planning Commission is a nine-member advisory board appointed by the County Commissioners. The members represent diverse backgrounds, volunteering to serve four-year terms. The officers are elected annually. All are dedicated to promoting coordinated growth and preservation planning for all of Chester County. They meet the second Wednesday of the month at the Government Services Center.

** Chester County is currently seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the nine-member Chester County Planning Commission Board of Directors, which guides overall planning in the county. Candidates must reside within Chester County and serve a four-year term on the Planning Commission Board, beginning in January, 2023. The board meets on a monthly basis, usually on the second Wednesday of the month. The successful candidate will be appointed by the Chester County Commissioners in the manner prescribed in Article II of the PA Municipalities Planning Code.
